Oh my gosh! Congratulations! Well, I am only 11 but I was 5 months old once so take this advice & u will love it!
Well, I have 2 sisters & my mom takes care of us & tries her hardest so here is my best shot.....
If ur baby is only 5 months old, u might want to start simple & work ur way up.
Start with learning, then move onto fun. Trust me, u will move on better in life like my mom does & did. Go either to Target or Walmart, (those r the best selections). Pick something like puzzles like four piecers & sit by her side. Then move on to, 6,8,10, & so fourth. The older they get, the better the will get. I know u might think this is a little early, but start teaching her to walk not talk. Talking could cause serious damage when ur young like that if u want to teach her. You can take a risk if u want to. Start walking simple, take her on a bed so If she falls she does not get hurt & it helps her balance. What also helps her balance would be take 6 small kid chairs & face them toward each other spread apart so she can fit. Have her put her hands where ur spose to sit & she will have it down in no time! If this is ur first baby, u might well feel that ur not doing what u r spose to be doing. Onto fun, give her ice cream every week & she will love it! My mom did the same thing! Half a scoop is fine. Do not give her ice cream with chunks in it! I choked on mine when I was that age & then my mom gave me vanilla. Also keep her binki in her mouth as much as possible so u do not feel stress. You can also going yoga if u have time it it awesome! It releaves stress. Quikly to. You can also print them off ur computer. Get her toys that r not hard. She could hurt herself real bad if they are! Well, u have to be the responsible parent & do the rest yourself. Follow my plans & ur baby is all yours. Good luck!
